I posted this in the complaint thread the other day.. But I’ve decided I need some advice on the subject after all, and you ladies have always been informative and helpful. I’ll give you a little back story first.
The current guild I am in is falling apart to the point I am one of two people on at any given time, guild leaders have gone MIA to play for the other side leaving the guild hanging. They have no desire to run heroics, recruit healers (as we have none) or progress to a small casual raiding guild.
And when they do log in it’s usually under their alts, and they are like hey Bela run me through DM I need upgrades for my Alt here. I’ve gotten to the point where I tell them no I am working on dailies or other projects; I am not there to be their doormat. I am serious about learning how to raid, doing heroics to get geared.
I did meet a really nice WOW player a few nights ago while we were both playing on our alts, and we logged in on our 80’s and she had her guild take me through a run on regular TOC. She introduced me to WG and the Argent Tourney stuff too, I’ve had a lot of fun learning new things…It’s good to know there are really nice WOW players…
So a guild mate and I have been talking about making a small casual progression guild, and this is where I need your advice. How to make a successful guild?
I know his plan is to have me as co-leader since I am on more right now due to unemployment. So I would be in charge of recruiting, were thinking of running with the idea of fresh 80’s looking to get geared, learn heroics and the fights. But will accept all levels that are willing to progress with the guild. We eventually want to have enough players to run 10 man runs. Working on the exact wording, my friend said it better than I did..
Also have any of you played class that made you want to tear your hair out? My same friend decided he wanted to try a Shammy/Priest combo, I am a melee girl so being a Priest is really a change for me. Right now he is doing all the work while I stand back and heal him, which I fail and panic when they come running after me. I have gone Shadow for the extra DPS, I really want to stick this out and learn a new class. And I know Priests can be devastating at higher levels, right now were just level 14.. I just have no idea what gear to get and what to do. *headdesk*
Thanks…
