Pets Snaps: Paws and Claws


Hi everyone after seeing so many cute pictures I wanted to share some snaps of my first venture into the Pets EP too.

Thor, the Dog of Thunder started out as a Husky but I added Samoyed features. He's currently living with Poobah Ima Dedman and his pregnant wife Mckenzie.



The first thing Thor did after arriving at his new home was to dig a hole. He's cute though so Poobah didn't mind too much.



This is Womtaro the womrat. He's Mckenzie's pet gerbil thingie. It's so cute. I'm trying to see how long it takes to kill it un-intentionally. ^_~



Here's Lulu. A pretty kitty stray that would have been taken into the Dedman household except I didn't know how to get the cat to stay. I would have liked her in the household she reminds me of a dearly departed IRL pet of mine named Mocha. T_T



Peek-a-boo! Poobah and Womtaro wubbles eachother. Aren't they adorable? Just kidding. I needed to snap a goofy shot to amuse myself. :3



This strange looking animal came to the front door and howled at it for 5 Sim minutes. Diddy is it's name but I had it chased off because it looked scary.



Here's Lulu running like hyper mad around the yard. I really tried to get her accepted into the home but alas my ignorance cost me. The pretty kitty ran off never to come back again. Boo hoo!



I started tweaking my pets. Here's Boy a pet modeled after my husband's sheepdog. He's not really a sheepdog but I nicknamed Boy that way because he was as cuddly and fluffy as a sheep.



Tigger is my newest pet tiger kitty! I was absolutely floored when there was no white paws available nor zebra stripes for cats. I had to blend in a lot of colours to get his white paws and scruff. Then again knowing myself I probably overlooked the zebra stripes or white paws options. Lol!



Tigger is extremely aggressive and fiercely independent. My poor Sim Ima tried to give him love by offering a treat and well... Tigger pretty much RAWRRed!

OMG! I want Lulu!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So pretty!!!!! That's a shame you weren't able to figure out how to have that family take her in. And the first dog, Thor, is my favorite of the dogs you posted. Very nice! I thoroughly enjoyed viewing your pictures. ^_^

Hi hi! Yeah, it was really a big disappointment. I've only played the expansion for a few hours so everything is pretty new to me. I'm hoping that Lulu will show up again so I'm keeping positive! (hugs)Thank you for looking sweetie.

That glowy eye dog IS freaky... it might be a werewolf...

This is kind of a stupid question, but where do the pics go when you take them? They're not showing up in any of my Sims 2 folders!

Yikes, a werewolf! Phew, I'm glad I didn't invite it into the house! O_O;

Oh no, it's not a stupid question. I didn't know at first too. It use to be that pictures went into the storytelling folder but when you take pictures now it depends on which neighborhood you were in when you took the snaps. Like if you were in a house that was in Pleasantview? Then the pictures will show up in the My Documents > EA Games > The Sims 2 > Neighborhoods > N001 > Storytelling folder.

Pleasantview is N001
Strangetowne is N002
Veronaville is N003
Custom Neighborhood is N004

and it goes on like that in numerical order. Hope that helps! ^_^

Love the pet pics! I've been afraid to install Pets on my comp (plus I've been busy with other projects), but I love living vicariously through other people who are posting their pet pics. ;)

I hope Lulu comes around again. She's a pretty kitty. Boy is adorable as is his name(it's the nickname for our RL Maine Coon kitten!). Tigger is great too. He looks like a tiger cub of the tigers in WoW. ;)

Hi Kara! I hope today has found you happy. I'm super overjoyed to hear that you liked the pet pics. I had a real blast taking them. Thank you for coming to see them. ^__^ I'm hoping Lulu comes back too. I'm keeping positive that she will because I read that strays do pass by a second time if the relationship is at a medium level. Awww a Maine Coon kitten! I didn't know you had a cat. Sweet!

I know what you mean about being afraid to install. Family Fun terrified my game. So far with Pets I haven't had any glitches with my game just the hacks that I have are not compatible which is a real shame. I miss them. T_T

P.S.

I so don't mind you posting as anon because just knowing that you come by when you're super busy with your own projects(which I can't wait to see!) really makes me happy. Sorry if I sound like a squeeing fangirl but it's true. *^_^*

That scary dog with the glowy eyes is a wolf. :O You can use it to become a werewolf.

A wolf! Wow, so the werewolf state wasn't a rumor? Yes! A new Sim state for our games. Now that is pretty cool. :D

I also love the striped cat... but all the animals are so cute.. even the werewolf, I can hardly wait to start with pets.. just a couple of more weeks for me.. Anita

Thank you, Anita! I'm happy you like the wolf too. I've started to grow fond of viewing them ingame. Befriending one is hard though. :3

A few more weeks? Wow, time certainly flies fast and how. I'm so happy that you'll be able to play the games too! (hugs)

Lol! Too laaate, Tigger sharpened his claws on the recliner just to test Ima's ire. The scolding didn't go too well though. Tigger is nearly on the verge of losing Ima as a friend. @_@

Poor Ima. Wormrats are much more fun to have as pets. I put one in the house with my Kat family and named him Lefty after my first pet Guinea Pig. ^_^

I like the black and white kitty. Reminds me of my baby Loki. Of course he only has half a tail. Do they offer short tails for cats?

Aww that is sweet! (hugs)Thank you so much for commenting! It makes me incredibly happy to see that you have you joined up at LJ! ^__^

They do have a short tail for cats. I think it resembles the tail of a manx. Unfortunately, we can't lengthen or shorten their tails only make them thicker or thinner. What's really disappointing to me about the Create-A-Pet is that there are so few options for cats compared to dogs.

I was not aware. But soon - 7 days will be my bday and All I have asked for is Sims2 pets.
